Erasmus MC

We just completed a 2-day conference in Rotterdam.   We had the opportunity to meet with 120 Dutch medical students who have just spent 6 weeks in developing countries, including Zambia, as well as other physicians from 18 other host countries.   It was a good time to discuss Global health care and network with others working in this area.  We were hosted at Erasmus MC, the Netherlands Largest Medical Center, by Dr. Jan Nouwen an infectious disease specialist.

Tomorrow we begin the second half of our journey, flying out of Amsterdam through Germany and South Africa, to arrive in Livingstone at 12:30 Sunday (Zambian time).   Continue to pray for safe journeys and that all of our luggage will make it.   We had one bag arrive late to the Netherlands.  Pray that our entry to the country will be smooth as our work visa is still up in the air.

I leave you with a thought shared by Thomas, one of the medical students at Erasmus:

Space separates our bodies, but not our minds.”  – Erasmus

Our thoughts are with you and we appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Next update from Zambia!!
